We’ve been there, too.

We know that visiting a new church can be intimidating, and you may have many questions: When are services? What do I wear? Where do my kids go?

We understand the anxiety that can come with visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit SAYSF.

Below are some answers to a few frequently asked questions. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us, or ask the usher when you visit.

When are Services?

Sunday mornings at SAYSF Bible Church are filled with activity!

We offer  blended worship services at  10:00 a.m. “Blended” refers mostly to the style of music. Sometimes we sing traditional hymns of the faith, and sometimes the praise band leads worship and we sing more contemporary songs.

Click the times below for details about the activities during the full Sunday morning schedule.

Communion

Adults and children of all ages gather in the Great Room of the Fellowship Center for communion. No nursery available.

Blended Worship Service

Adults and children older than 4 years old gather in the Great Room of the Fellowship Center for worship.

Sunday School

  • Children ages 2-4 meet in the preschool room off the lobby of the Fellowship Center.
IMPORTANT NOTICE to Parents: Children ages 5 thru Middle School are dismissed from the worship service before the sermon, and are met by their teachers in the Connector and taken to class. Parents, please pick up your children in the Great Room of the Fellowship Center by 11:30 a.m.

Sunday School

Children ages 5 through grade 6 are dismissed from Blended Worship and escorted to their Sunday School classes:

  • 5 years – 2nd Grade: Room 22 of Walnut
  • Grades 3-4: Room 203 of Fellowship Center
  • Grades 5-6: Room 202 of Fellowship Center
What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing.

In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too! We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?
If you are visiting with us, we don’t expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider SAYSF your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving to God in this manner. Offering envelopes are provided, and you may give by check or cash. You may also donate to the church using our online giving button on the menu bar.
Who's preaching this week, and what will the message be about?
Who doesn’t like a sneak peek? We all do! That’s why, each week, we publish details about the upcoming message in a section called, Sundays at SAYSF Bible Church. You’ll find it on the Home page.
I have hearing problems. Is there any special assistance?
Yes! For those who are hearing impaired, we have special hearing devices that you can wear that will allow you to control the volume. If you think this would be beneficial to you, ask the greeter who welcomes you for assistance obtaining the device.
