We spent most of our day in the Bethlehem region of Israel. We started by touring a palace built by and for Herod the Great. It is called the Herodium. We then traveled to the City of Bethlehem and the Church of the Nativity.

A lengthy service was being held in the Grotto (traditional location of Christ’s birth) so we were unable to see that site. However, we did tour the church built over the location.

Our day also included a guided tour of Knesset (Israeli Parliament) and the Holocaust Museum. Photography was limited or not permitted in these sites.

Tomorrow is that last day of our journey. Come back one more time and walk with us as we follow the path of Jesus from His trial, to the cross, to His grave.
