We've been there, too.
We know that visiting a new church can be intimidating, and you may have many questions: When are services? What do I wear? Where do my kids go?
We understand the anxiety that can come with visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit SAYSF.
Below are some answers to a few frequently asked questions.
If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us, or ask the individual who greets you when you visit.
What should I wear?
We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing.
In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too! We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.
Where do my children go?
SAYSF members provide child care for infants and preschoolers up to 4 years old in the preschool room during the 10:00am service. The preschool room is located off the lobby of the Fellowship Center. Your children will be checked in, and dismissed to you following the service.
Children ages 5 through 5th grade are dismissed from worship before the sermon, and are escorted to their Sunday School class near the nursery on the first floor.
If you would like your children to participate in Sunday School, please ask the individual who greets you in the entrance area for assistance. They can answer your questions.
Am I expected to put money in the offering?
If you are visiting with us, we don’t expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider SAYSF your church home, we’d love for you to prayerfully consider giving to God in this manner. Offering envelopes are provided, and you may give by check or cash. You may also donate to the church using our online giving button on the menu bar.
