I'm New

Welcome

We welcome you, whoever you are, to worship and fellowship with us.  We hope to share the Good News of new life thru Jesus with others and together follow and glorify Him as we grow in faith, love one another and serve our community.

When  and where we Meet

10:00 AM Sunday Mornings

Our campus is located at the bottom of Rue Purchase Road, past several residential areas.
When you get to the campus, go PAST the first parking area near the building with the steeple (a sister church meets there).
Park behind the smaller building with the covered porch.
We meet in the larger "industrial" looking building in back.

What To Expect

Worship thru contemporary style music, giving, Communion and Bible Teaching.

Our worship service begins at 10:00 a.m. with Overflow, our praise band, leading us in a worship song. After some announcements, we pray for the gifts offered, remember the Lord thru Communion, worship with more music, then a sermon from one of our men.

While we welcome children of all ages during the entire service,  we do offer childcare during the service for kids 5 years and younger.   We know it can be hard for little ones to sit for a whole service, so parents are welcome to go with their kids to the back of the room and "move about" considerately .

Once a month, we share with each other some of the good things God has been doing in our lives.

After service on the first Sunday of the month, we share a potluck meal with one another. These meals are good times to get to know us better, and you're welcome even if you weren't able to bring something.

Weekly Communion

Jesus' substitutionary death in our place, for our sins, is the central belief of the Christian faith.
We remember each week during communion.

Young Child Care

We offer childcare ministry for infants and children up through age 5 during the worship service at 10:00am.
Sign-in and pick up is by the nursery and preschool rooms next to the Great Room, across from the restrooms.

Discipleship

Our adult discipleship happens in our Small Groups,  vice in adult Sunday School.
We do not currently offer Sunday School for children; we disciple our younger ones thru AWANA and Outbound Youth minstries .

Frequently Asked Questions

We've been there, too. We know that visiting a new church can be intimidating, and you may have many questions. We understand the anxiety that can come with visiting a new church, so we want you to feel completely comfortable when you visit SAYSF.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing.

In the summertime, it’s not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their “Sunday best,” and that’s fine too! We think you’ll fit in no matter how you dress.

Where do my children go?

SAYSF members provide child care for infants and preschoolers up to 5 years old in the preschool room during the 10:00am service. The preschool room is located off the lobby of the Fellowship Center. Your children will be checked in, and dismissed to you following the service.

Children, ages 6 years and older, remain in the worship service. Parents may take their children to the back of the room where they may play quietly.

Am I expected to give money?

Financial gifts are privately given several ways: online thru the website "Give" button or the SAYSF app; by mailing a check; or in-person by placing a check or cash in the Offering Plate during the service or the white box by the entrance.  Envelopes for cash offerings are on the Welcome Table.

Visitors are not expected to give; we only expect those who worship regularly here to financially support the ministries here.
